Before you start
- A Fire TV Stick connected to the internet and a few minutes with the remote.
- An active Strong 8K subscription — you can choose a plan here.
- One model is different: the Fire TV Stick 4K Select does not allow installing apps from outside the Amazon store. If that is your device, tell us before you buy and we will suggest the right option.
Step 1 — Turn on Developer Options
- Open Settings → My Fire TV. (On Fire TV smart TVs the menu is called Device & Software.)
- Choose About and click your device name 7 times until a message says you are now a developer.
- Press Back once — Developer Options now appears in the list.
Step 2 — Install Downloader
- Go to the Home screen and use the search (magnifier) to find Downloader.
- Install it. Downloader is a free app by AFTVnews.
Step 3 — Allow Downloader to install apps
- Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps.
- Switch Downloader to ON.
Step 4 — Download Hot Player with code 395800
- Open Downloader. In the URL box type 395800 and press Go.
- When the download finishes choose Install, then Done.
Step 5 — Activate with your MAC address
Open Hot Player. It shows a MAC address on the screen. Send us that address — as text or simply a photo of the TV screen — and we add your subscription to the app. There is no username to type. How MAC activation works.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Developer Options is missing | Settings → My Fire TV → About, click the device name 7 times, then go back. |
| Downloader is not in “Install unknown apps” | Install Downloader first (Step 2), then reopen the menu. If it is still missing, contact us. |
| Downloader cannot open the code | Check the internet connection and type the code again, digits only. |
| Your model is Fire TV Stick 4K Select | It does not support installs from outside the store — ask us for the alternative. |
| Playback stutters | See the buffering guide — speed on the stick itself matters most. |
